Best. Superhero. Film. Yet.
BUT....this film only uses the Superhero theme as a thin veneer.
This ranks along with High Noon and Dirty Harry, making a trio of wonderfully most-subversive films....pretty much ever!
I loved every minute of it. Especially the fact that it shows that whether good or evil.....BOTH sides are horribly, morally compromised. A very clear if not obvious message in these crap times in which we live.
I also love the fact that 'youse bitches'....and you know who you are....bought the 'hope' message of the first one hook, line and sinker.
I think this should definitely be and end as a trio of films.
I'm in the camp that says they should court Depp to fill in Ledger's shoes for the third one.
I think they should stay FAR AWAY from Penguin, Riddler, or Catwoman in the Nolan Franchise.
The ONLY think I didn't like about the film was Batman's 'channeling Lance Henriksen's voice' whisper this time around, especially when the character was talking to others who knew Wayne and Batman were one and the same.
May post more later, but that's it in a nutshell.
